Conflict Minerals Policy

The exploitation of rare metals such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) and cobalt (Co) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding countries and regions has caused serious human rights and environmental problems. The sale of these minerals may provide financial support for the continued armed conflict in these countries, leading to long-term instability in the region, so they are called "conflict minerals". ORTE Photonics Co., LTD. respects human rights, attaches great importance to the issue of conflict minerals, does not purchase or support the use of conflict minerals, and supports the efforts of human rights organizations to end violence and atrocities in Central Africa (Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its nine neighboring countries).

ORTE Photonics Co., LTD. fulfills its social and environmental responsibilities and promises not to use "conflict minerals" from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding countries and regions. We will investigate the supply chain and require suppliers to provide material composition questionnaires. At the same time, we also require suppliers to extend this requirement to lower level suppliers and trace the sources of gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) and cobalt (Co) contained in all products to ensure that conflict minerals are not used.
