What is an ORTE Photonics's Optical Fiber Mirror Reflector?
ORTE Photonics's Optical Fiber Mirror Reflector is an optical element that works using the law of reflection, using only one fiber for input and output, as shown in Figure 1 below.
The main function of the fiber optic mirror is to realize the function of total reflection of light with a specific bandwidth wavelength. It is widely used in the fields of current mutual inductance, fiber sensing and ASE light source. It realizes the reflection of light in the field of optical fiber sensing and current mutual inductance to produce a coherent effect of light. In the ASE light source, the signal light in the erbium fiber can be totally reflected, so that the signal light in the ASE light source can return to what we need in the light path.
A method of ORTE Photonics's Optical Fiber Mirror Reflector optical path loss test
Refer to Figure 2 to zero the power meter. After zeroing, refer to Figure 2 for the coupler loss test optical path to connect the optical path, test the loss IL1 of the coupler, and color the end of the power meter.
Refer to Figure 3 to clear the power meter. After clearing, refer to Figure 3 for the product loss test optical path to connect the optical path, read the power meter loss IL2 and record it. At this time, the loss of the fiber mirror is IL=IL2-IL1, and we can also calculate the reflectivity of the fiber mirror through the IL loss.
